“I began surgical residency in 1990 when
the laparoscopic field and techniques were just introduced in the
U.S. During my residency and fellowships in New York and Atlanta,
I had the opportunity to be trained with some of the best laparoscopic
surgeons in the U.S. I became immediately convinced that laparoscopic
surgery is superior to traditional open surgery and now I perform
almost all my procedures using the laparoscopic method. For the
last 10 years I made a commitment to specialize in the surgical
treatment of the obesity disease."
